The boy next the door (del 1/3)

Här kommer novellen The boy the next door som jag lovat några av mina läsare i min andra blogg att jag skulle sätta in. Den kommer delas upp i tre delar. Varsågod och njut av att läsa den! ;)

Once upon a time there was a girl named Jessica. She was 17 years old and she was a nice, fun, beautiful and warm girl with a heart of gold. She cared about everyone. She would never think of being mean. She lived with her mum and a little sister, Sarah.

They lived in a very big white house with blue shutters and eleven rooms which Jessica loved, but when her dad died of cancer a few months ago, they moved to a smaller house with only a dining-room, a kitchen, three bedrooms and a bathroom.

The new neighborhood was ok, but Jessica didn't know it yet. When they should move, Jessica was really sad to need to leave the house she loved. Because her dad built the house, there are many memories in the house from her growth too. When they moved to the smaller house, her mum bought a puppy to Jessica to make her pain for her dad's death easier. The dog made her feel a little encouraged. It was a male. He will be called Charlie after her dad, Jessica directed! Charlie was a golden retriever. He was fine, cheerful, rowdy and playful. From the first moment Jessica saw Charlie, she was so in love.

Jessica had a best friend named Spencer. They are inseparable, they are like sisters. Of course Jessica loved her real sister, but she saw Spencer as a sister too. Jessica and Spencer had a tradition on Saturdays. They eat breakfast, dinner and supper together. And they see movies together too. Nothing will break the tradition, not even their parents or boyfriends or other friends. Ever!

They go on Brooklyn High School of Arts, both have Dance and Theater. And their mothers were best friends.

One day I have nothing to do, I am bored too so I take Charlie on a walk to get in with the neighborhood and its neighbors. Only in ten or fifteen minutes later, I suddenly stay and stare on a josser. He is beautiful and captivating. So captivating. But I don’t stare only because he is beautiful and captivating. I stare because he has yellow eyes. Like gold. So weird but beautiful, I think. He is different. Then suddenly I feel desire to go to talk with him and ask questions like why he has yellow eyes. But will I or will I not? I’m afraid that he will look strange at me if I ask questions like why he has yellow eyes or anything. No but Jessica, just go and wish him welcome and then ask, I think!

I walk over to him with Charlie. I stay in front of the wicket to his garden and when he sees me, I smile and say hi. He smiles and says hi back and walks over to me. When he is near me, I just stare on his weird but beautiful yellow eyes and then suddenly I feel weak in my knee. “Hi. Welcome to the neighborhood. I also newly moved in. My name is Jessica” I say. He smiles and says that his name is Sam. “Really? What do you like about the neighborhood?” he asks. “I don’t know. I came three days ago and I didn’t catch up to get to know the neighborhood yet” I answer. Sam laughs. Then I suddenly have tongue-tiedness. His laugh is the most beautiful laugh I ever heard in my life. So soft. Not like other jossers I have met.

“Maybe we can go together and get to know the neighborhood later? Or now?” Sam asks. I smile and think it should be thrilling to go together with Sam. I think that I have a chance to get to know him too. I say yes.
